Well, it's official. I am a Twilight addict. I began reading last Friday, and finished earlier today. Stephanie Meyer may not be a Jane Austen, but she has a great imagination that takes you on a fun ride. I must like it because after all, let's face it, I am one of those people who can stand a good soap opera now and then. I am a little late on the band wagon (is that the right expression?) I used to read quite a bit back in the "day". (like over ten years ago "day") But then, I began to work 50 hours a week, and then I had "twins" (sorta, basically) So, I am just now figuring out how to get some recreational reading back in. I have missed it, and I love clearing my ever buzzing mind with a good novel.
Preston thinks I Love Edward-Don't all Twilight fans!?
Preston, I love YOU! I love your freckles and BLUE EYES!

I am so glad that you read the book. They are one of the best series. I have them all and couldn't put them down. I too am an addict.
I guess there is something wrong with me 'cos I read the first Twilight book and wondered what all the fuss was about. I thought it was a lot of fluff with a vampire tossed in! Thinking I was too old for the book I waited until 17 year-old Kaitlyn read it and asked her opinion. She pretty much said the same thing I did and added that it was a good 'pre-teen' book. So what do you think? Are our minds just not simple enough? Or have we missed something in the reading?
I have to agree with Christina...
I started reading the first book and was bored out of my mind, I kept reading thinking it HAD to get better soon...and it didn't.
I just figured I didn't have time anyway so why bother.
I must be getting old ;) I am totally out of the loop.
oh yes, it is true, i am a soap opera luvin, twilight readin simple minded gal! :) LOL! I will agree, it is a bit fluffy. Maybe that's just what my COMPLICATED mind needs, some dumbing down...JK! :O
How can you not love Twilight? Oh well, I must be simple minded too, but I thought it was the best. I am always up for a good love story. If they would have finished the book, they would have loved it too. The suspense at the end is great.
I realized after posting my comment that I stuck my foot firmly in my mouth with the "simple minded" comment. It was only a reflection on myself . . not anyone else! Hope no one took offense. I can blame it on old age . . . ;o)
Christina, You silly! No need to apologize, I thought it was funny!
xoxo
okay carrie, this post made me laugh, where the heck do you find this stuff? "my neck belongs to edward" seriously. Good luck with the reading. go Michelle, 5 days, did you get up and go to the bathroom?
That's funny that you commented on Preston's freckles and blue eyes, thats the EXACT same thing Travis always says he loves about me too. And to think I have always disliked my freckles.
How come no one loves my freckles? I think they suck. Oh well, at least people love my siblings freckles. :)
I love your freckles Mindy :)
